One can't possibly fulfill a supernatural calling with their own natural strength. Yet, we know all things are possible through God.
Andrea Alvarez was raised by her grandparents in the Heart of the Hatch Valley. Her fondest memories have always been those of growing up on the farm, peddling chile with her grandfather, and making ristras with her grandmother.

The Story of La Reina
In 2018, Andrea launched La Reina Chile Company and her business has seen exponential growth ever since. She started moving 400 pounds a weekend to contracting over 650,000 pounds a season. Andrea has been featured on PBS La Frontera with Pati Jinich and was invited to do a cooking demonstration at the Smithsonian in November of 2023. She looks forward to passing on the life lessons she learned from her grandparents to her daughter, Merced.
